A man has been arrested for falsely tweeting about the hijacking of the Dubai-Jaipur flight.

The police gave this information on Thursday.

This incident happened on Wednesday.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Airport) Ravi Kumar Singh said that Moti Singh Rathore, a resident of Nagaur, Rajasthan, reached the Indira Gandhi International Airport here as the Dubai-Jaipur flight was diverted due to bad weather.

The plane landed at 9:45 am and was cleared to take off at 1:40 pm.

Meanwhile, Rathod tweeted, according to the police, "flight hijacked".

Rathore was offloaded from the aircraft along with his luggage and after necessary checks, the aircraft proceeded further.

After this he was handed over to the local police for further action.

According to the police, the accused told that he tweeted because he was upset about the delay in the flight.

A case has been registered in this regard and Rathore has been arrested.
