An event and exhibition was held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic.

According to the information provided to APA by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the event was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan and employees of the Embassy, ​​members of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, rectors of Baku State University and Azerbaijan Slavic University and other guests.

Speaking at the event, Fariz Rzayev, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, emphasized that effective cooperative relations based on mutual respect and trust between our countries have been successfully developed over the past 30 years, and that high-level political dialogue, official exchange of visits, and inter-parliamentary cooperation play an important role in this process.

The deputy minister noted with satisfaction the exchange of congratulatory letters between the foreign ministers of the two countries on the occasion of the anniversary.

Stating that our relations have risen to the level of strategic partnership, the deputy minister spoke about economic cooperation between the two countries, as well as intensive exchanges in the fields of culture, science and education, and tourism.

In addition to bilateral cooperation, Fariz Rzayev pointed out that effective cooperation exists between our countries on multilateral platforms, and noted that the economic relations between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic are developing on an upward line.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to our country Milan Sedlacek expressed his satisfaction with the current level of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic, the 30th anniversary of which is being celebrated.

Recalling that the meeting of the Azerbaijan-Czech Republic intergovernmental commission will be held in Prague next month, the Czech diplomat said that he will try not only to promote economic relations with Azerbaijan, but also to further develop cooperation in the fields of culture and tourism.

It was emphasized that the Chairman of the Milli Majlis and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan were invited to the Czech Republic and that they were looking forward to these visits.

Noting that Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic have a lot in common from a historical point of view, the diplomat said that he will do everything in his power to strengthen the friendship between our peoples.

At the end of the event, the participants got acquainted with the exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic.
