After the important decisions of the West on the transfer of tanks and other equipment to Ukraine, the Russian elites are beginning to realize that Russia is losing the war, and are already thinking about who will replace the dictator Putin in power.

This was announced by Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the NSDC, Channel 24 informs.

"The issue of Putin in Russia is almost closed. Some already know the name of the person who will work there after Putin," Danilov stressed.

According to him, the Ukrainian authorities have their own assumptions about what will happen next in Russia and who can become the dictator's successor.

However, Danilov refused to give details.

"Before the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russians almost managed to convince the whole world that Ukraine would not stand. Now, Ukrainians have proven on the battlefield that they are capable of defending their independence and freedom," the NSDC secretary noted.

Danilov also added that despite blackmail, the Kremlin will not dare to use nuclear weapons.

Who will be Putin's successor?

Earlier, the Russian opposition political scientist Abbas Gallyamov said that the Kremlin elites are frantically looking for options for who to choose as Putin's successor.

Former employee of the British military intelligence Philip Ingram suggested that Putin's successor will be the owner of PVK "Wagner" Evgeny Prigozhin.

Instead, the head of the independent international intelligence community Bellingcat Hristo Grozev said that at first the Kremlin elites considered the candidacy of the current Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mykhailo Mishustin.

However, it is possible that oppositionist Navalny may become the new head of Russia.

Political scientist Oleksandr Motyl predicts that by the end of this year dictator Putin may not be in power.
