French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu announced plans to deliver the first AMX10-RC wheeled light tanks to Ukraine already in February.

The head of the Ministry of Defense said this on the air of the France 5 TV channel.

. I expect that the first deliveries will be made at the beginning of February," said Lecorniu.

At the same time, he noted that for security reasons, France does not specify the specific amount of equipment that it will transfer to Ukraine.

The Minister of Defense added that the timing of the delivery of tanks and their number is being discussed with caution due to the risk of Russia launching strikes on logistics chains.

We will remind, on January 4, it became known that France will hand over AMX-10 RC light wheeled tanks and Bastion armored personnel carriers to Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky personally thanked the country's President Emmanuel Macron for this decision.

Recently, Macron announced that France is also working on the issue of supplying Leclerc tanks to Ukraine.
