The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) will not oppose the film 'Pathan' starring Shah Rukh Khan, released today.

VHP says that keeping in mind our earlier objections, the changes made in the film are correct.

VHP Mumbai Joint Secretary Shriraj Nair said that if we find anything objectionable after watching the film, we will reconsider opposing the film.

Please tell that the film 'Pathan' is being shown in theaters across the country from today.

But in many parts of the country, its protest continues till now.

A day before its release, its poster was torn and burnt outside a cinema hall in Bhagalpur, Bihar.

Youths of Hinduist organizations tore the posters in the cinema hall and set them on fire and raised slogans 'Film Chalega, Hall Jalega'.

Hindu organization members said, "Hindutva cannot be compromised. Any element opposing Sanatan culture will not be tolerated in Bhagalpur including all over India. If Pathan is shown in any cinema hall of Bhagalpur, It will be strongly opposed."

A police complaint was lodged against the film 'Pathan',


Manager Lalan Singh told that some anti-social elements have burnt the poster opposing the film.

Application has been given to the local police station and SP and the administration has assured to provide security.

Right-wing activist Satya Ranjan Bora on Monday filed a police complaint against Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Pathan' at Geetanagar police station.

'Pathan' has been in controversy ever since the song 'Besharam Rang' was released.

here in Agra too Activists of right-wing organization Hindu Mahasabha, who are opposing the film 'Pathan', threw ink on the posters of the film and tore them in Agra on Tuesday.

Hindu Mahasabha leader Sanjay Jat said that the organization will not allow the film 'Pathan' to be screened at any cost.

Whereas Bajrang Dal said that we oppose the film.

Police said activists of a right-wing organization today reached several cinema halls and threw ink on movie posters and tore them.

After getting the information, the police reached the spot and removed them from there after pacifying them.
