At least three dead after a shooting in the state of Washington, United States, reports a report by the head of the Yakima police unit, Matt Murray.

The incident occurred in a food store near a gas station.

The suspect is 21-year-old Jarid Haddock, who did not hide his identity and tried to enter the gas station without success.

He then walked across the street to a store and shot two people buying food.

When he got out, he finished off a third.

Haddock subsequently walked back across the street to the gas station, fired shots at a car, and drove off.

"There was no apparent conflict between the parties - the man just walked in and started shooting," Murray said.

The officers reviewed the store's surveillance cameras and took witness accounts of the homicide, with no idea why it happened.

The suspect

is still on the run.

"The fact that he entered with his face completely exposed and shot and killed people is very strange and very disturbing," said Murray, who warned that he constitutes a danger to the community.

These deaths occur in the context of successive shootings that have occurred since last Sunday in the state of California, with a balance of 19 deaths.
