Military and public figure, major-general of the SBU reserve Viktor Yagun told about this on the air of FREEDOM TV channel.
According to him, the Russian authorities immediately threw some of the mobilized into the maelstrom of war, while the other part of the recruits did undergo initial training, and right now they are being pulled up to the front line.
"Not all those mobilized in the first wave got to the front line.
Some of them were immediately thrown into battle in order to close the holes that were in the defense and in their counter-offensive units.
Therefore, there were really huge losses.
They did not cook them at all and threw them into the furnace like firewood.
And some of them, about 150,000, underwent initial training, restoration of the knowledge they had.
And, in particular, they passed through the training grounds of both Russia and Belarus.
Therefore, this already more prepared part of the mobilized is now being pulled up to the front line," said Yagun.
According to the Major General of the SBU reserve, this is probably the reserve that the enemy is counting on in the near future.
It is likely that they will try to actively use it in the Donetsk and Luhansk directions.
"Both our analysts and Ukrainian intelligence said that when Gerasimov was appointed to lead their so-called "special operation", the task was to go to the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. And they were ordered to do this literally in the next month. Therefore, I think that until March, they will actively advance in this direction," said Yagun.
According to him, the military leadership of the Russian Federation transferred part of the Russian troops that were used in the Kherson direction to Zaporizhzhia.
Instead of them, self-initiated people were pulled from the landfills.
"And what is characteristic: before we still observed many motorized rifle units, now there are more and more rifle units.
And these units are actually occupying empty trenches.
There is no artillery activity as it was at the beginning of the fighting.
And they are trying to accumulate some kind of armored fist, as was always the case in the tactics of the Soviet and Russian armies.
But I think that our intelligence will find its way in time," the expert noted.
We will remind, earlier it became known that Russian President Vladimir Putin did not cancel the decree on mobilization in the Russian Federation, however, he cannot officially announce the second wave.
At the same time, personnel are constantly recruited, and Russian propaganda levels the value of life, trying to send Russian men to die "for the Tsar and the Fatherland".
