Russian troops are accumulating reserves on the border with Ukraine in the Belgorod and Kursk regions.

This is a conditional direction to Kreminna, Luhansk region, in case of a repeated attack by them.

And, perhaps, it will be an attempt to attack the

Kharkiv region.

This was stated by the military and public figure, major-general of the SBU reserve, ex-deputy head of the SBU Viktor Yagun on the FREEDOM broadcast.

"The Russians are accumulating reserves on the border with Ukraine in the Belgorod and Kursk regions, that's true. That is, this is a conditional direction to Kreminna (Luhansk region). And it is possible that this is an attempt to really attack the Kharkiv region. But I don't think that we are not paying attention to these threats," explained Yagun.

According to him, the occupiers are not succeeding in the Zaporozhye direction and are actively trying to counter a possible offensive of the Armed Forces.

The enemy has a similar situation in the Donetsk and Luhansk directions.

There, the enemy is currently forming strong positions and is pulling not only parts of the units, but also the armored vehicles that they were able to accumulate and assemble there from other front lines.

Yagun says that the

occupiers are actively preparing for the end of February."

However, he notes that everything depends on the weather.

"They did not expect, by the way, like we probably did, such a warm winter that it is really impossible to actively use combat heavy equipment for breakthroughs in certain directions. The ground did not freeze. Maybe there will be some more February frosts, I don't know. maybe winter will really move somewhere to March. Therefore, everything will depend on the weather. At this stage, the situation at the front is very difficult, not only because there may be an offensive, but also because the weather conditions do not allow either our side or the enemy's side to actively use equipment off the roads," added the reserve major general of the SBU.

It will be recalled that the former high-ranking British intelligence officer Philip Ingram believes that the

next phase of the war between Russia and Ukraine will not be able to begin in the spring

due to the weather, and in particular, the fact that the ground is too soft during this period.

According to him, there are three areas where battles will be concentrated in case of sufficient strengthening of the area -

 Zaporizhzhia, Kreminnaya district and Bakhmut

The GUR of the MoD also predicts that in the coming months there

will be active fighting in the Donetsk and Luhansk areas.

But Polish General Waldemar Skzypchak says that

Russia can attack Ukraine from its own territory -

from the direction of Voronezh, Kursk, Bryansk, move from there in a southern direction, west of Kharkiv, along the Vorskla River, which flows into the Dnipro.

Under this scenario

, Poltava and Dnipro are under attack.

Meanwhile, the Russian Federation is now spreading a fake about the alleged attack on Ugledar in the Donetsk region.

Which is really just an attempt to create a "positive narrative" against the backdrop of the lack of progress by Putin's forces in Bakhmut, ISW says.

According to analysts, there are

no real signs of recovery of the Russian occupiers

in the western part of Donetsk region.
