The High Court order is being considered as a blow to the KCR government of Telangana.

New Delhi :

At the Republic Day parade, Telangana's K.

The Chandrasekhar Rao government has been defeated in the latest round of court proceedings against the governor.

The High Court has issued an order that the full parade for the Republic Day should be held at the regular Parade Ground in Hyderabad instead of the Raj Bhavan.

The state government had initially canceled the parade for the second consecutive year citing Covid.

When a program was organized at Raj Bhavan, the government had given instructions to curtail it as well.

In this situation, this would be the second time in a row this year that despite the lifting of anti-Covid restrictions, the Governor would not be able to inspect the ceremonial parade of the state police and take the guard of honor at the parade ground in Secunderabad.

A petition was filed in the High Court this morning stating that the government is violating the central circular to hold the Republic Day parade, which was put on hold by the Center and the states for two years due to the pandemic.

This year's central circular directed that full-fledged celebrations involving students be held in all states.

The reply of the government on the order of the High Court has not yet come to the fore.

Tell me, Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan took office in 2019 but her relations with the state government have been strained for more than two years which is almost common in opposition ruled states.

Last year, the governor hoisted the flag at the Raj Bhavan on Republic Day after the state government said the ceremony could not be held at the parade ground due to Covid protocols.

The tradition of sending speech to the Governor also seems to have been broken this year.

It has been said in the reports that no speech has been sent by the Governor's office despite being called by the state government.

The governor is upset with this development.

Breaking another tradition, the governor will skip the customary joint address to both the houses of the legislature at the start of the budget session on February 3.

It is worth mentioning that in Tamil Nadu, Governor Ravi had recently given an address in the state assembly, moving away from the government's approved address.
