and its Foundation Day more memorable, the Supreme Court will issue translations of more than a thousand decisions in ten languages ​​on January 26.

Chief Justice Dhananjay Yashwant Chandrachud said today that the work of translation of other important and milestone decisions is going on fast.

According to sources, the translation of the decision of the five-judge special bench headed by the then Chief Justice of the Supreme Court on the Ayodhya dispute has also been completed to a large extent. 

The CJI said that apart from Hindi, these judgments are also being translated into Eastern and North Eastern languages ​​like Odia, Assamese, Khasi, Garo, Punjabi, Nepali and Bengali.

The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court had said on Tuesday that the judgments of the apex court were being translated into four languages ​​and scripts.

These include Hindi, Gujarati, Odia and Tamil languages.

He said that now all the decisions are taken in English, so 99.9 percent of the citizens do not understand them.
