NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the alliance will not take part in the Ukraine-Russia war.

APA reports that Stoltenberg said this in an interview with "Die Welt" newspaper.

"NATO was not and will not be a party to the war in Ukraine. NATO's non-participation in the conflict proves the fact that the alliance has not sent troops or aircraft to Ukraine," Stoltenberg said.

At the same time, he noted that Ukraine "has the right to defend itself" according to the UN Charter, so NATO has the right to support it.
