On Thursday, precipitation will begin from the south-southwest and by the evening will cover most of the country - in Western and Central Bulgaria it will mostly snow, in the east - rain.

In the Rilo-Rhodope region, there will be significant amounts, snow cover will accumulate, and in the Eastern Rhodopes, sleet is possible.

From the east-northeast, the wind will begin to turn from the west-northwest, weak and moderate, informed by NIMH.

On January 26, an orange code for snowfall with the formation of a snow cover of up to 30-35 cm was announced in four areas.

Snowfall will be more intense after noon and overnight on Friday.

The districts for which the dangerous weather warning is in effect are Blagoevgrad, Smolyan, Pazardzhik and Plovdiv.

A yellow code for potentially hazardous weather is in effect for nine areas.

There will be intense snowfall, in the southern regions, a snow cover of up to 10 cm will form in the regions of Montana, Vratsa, Lovech, Sofia region, Sofia city, Pernik, Kyustendil.

For Haskovo region, the yellow code is for significant precipitation, mainly from rain, which will continue during the night of Friday.

Expected quantities - up to 30-35 mm.

In the Kardzhali region, a yellow code has been announced for significant amounts of precipitation from rain and snow (total up to about 30 mm), in the western part of the region - from snow and the formation of a snow cover up to 10-15 cm.

On Saturday, snow will fall in many places in Northern Bulgaria, in the western regions along the Danube - rain and snow, and in South-Eastern Bulgaria - rain.

In the southwestern part of the country, light snow will fall only in the mountains;

there will be temporary cloud breaks.

The wind from the northwest will increase.

Cloudiness will be variable, more often significant over Northern Bulgaria, light snow will fall.
