The Urs celebrates the death anniversary of Chishti, one of the most notable Sufi saints, also known as Garib Nawaz.

Chadar was offered on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday in the Urs of Sufi Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti at Ajmer Dargah.

A chadar was also presented on behalf of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday.

The Urs celebrates the death anniversary of Chishti, one of the most notable Sufi saints, also known as Garib Nawaz.

A large number of people participate in Urs.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his message that on the occasion of 811th Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, greetings and best wishes to his followers around the world.

The Prime Minister said, "I pay tribute to the great Sufi saint, who gave the message of love, harmony and brotherhood to the world, by sending a chadar to Dargah Ajmer Sharif on the annual Urs."

In the message, he said, "In our country saints, pirs and fakirs have always strengthened the cultural fabric of the nation through the message of peace, unity and harmony."

In the message, he said that Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti is a symbol of great spiritual traditions of India.

The service to humanity done by 'Garib Nawaz' will continue to inspire generations to come.

On the other hand, on behalf of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, on the occasion of 811th Urs of Sufi saint Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, a chadar was presented at the hands of Khwaja Saheb in Ajmer on Wednesday.

Rajasthan Waqf Board President Dr. Khanu Khan Budhwali visited the Dargah and presented a chadar on behalf of the Chief Minister.

Former ministers Naseem Akhtar Insaf and Haji Qayyum Khan were also present on the occasion.

Budhwali read the message of Chief Minister Gehlot in the dargah.

The Chief Minister said in his message that Garib Nawaz emphasized on serving the weak, poor and destitute people of the society, maintaining mutual brotherhood with each other and worshiping God.
