Islamabad has not yet taken any decision on this.

New Delhi:

India has invited

's foreign minister to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting to be held in May .

Sources in Pakistan have confirmed this news.

According to sources, his Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has received the invitation, although Islamabad has not taken any decision yet.

If Pakistan accepts the invitation, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will be the first Foreign Minister of Pakistan to visit India after a gap of almost 12 years.

Pakistan's Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had made comments about Prime Minister Narendra Modi a month ago on the occasion of the meeting of the United Nations Security Council.

Because of which there was a protest against him in India.

India called Bilawal Zardari's comments "uncivilised".

Sources said that

an invitation has also been sent to China's new Foreign Minister

Qin Gang .

Apart from Pakistan and China, the eight-member SCO grouping includes Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The invitation has reportedly been given by the Indian High Commission in Islamabad.

Recently Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had offered to negotiate with India and said, "We have learned our lesson".

Shahbaz Sharif had said in an interview to Al Arabiya channel that Pakistan has learned its lesson.

The result of the war with India was unemployment, poverty.

India is our neighboring country.

We are neighbors and to be very clear, being neighbors is not by choice.

Rather we have always been like this.

It is upon us to live peacefully and progress.

Or fight with each other and waste time.

It is entirely on us.
