Russia uses

Su-25, Su-34 attack aircraft to attack

Ukraine ,

Tu-22M3 strategic bombers, as well as different types of missiles, depending on the region that the invaders want to strike.

Valery Romanenko, an aviation expert and leading researcher of the State Museum of Aviation, told about this in an interview with

O. K. Antonov.

"Let's separate the shelling of the front lines and our cities, which are located near the combat clash, and on the territory deep in Ukraine, which is not controlled by the enemy.

On the front line, the main aircraft

that are used are

attack aircraft and fighter-bombers, or, as the Russians call them interpreted as

front-line bombers ," the expert says.

According to him, the Russians have already lost a full regiment of Su-25, and even more.

"And the regiment is at least two squadrons of 12 planes. I'm talking only about the planes that are lying on the ground in the form of fragments. There may still be damaged planes that have returned to their bases, but their fall is not visible," he explains.

According to Valery Romanenko, the

occupiers are using Tu-22M3 strategic bombers

in the frontline cities .

"Now, the cities that the Russians are shelling from their strategic aircraft, launching Kh-22 missiles, are Tu-22M3 strategic bombers. They rarely use bombs, only on Mariupol they used super heavy bombs, and this is how they launch Kh-22 cruise missiles . Unfortunately, it is very difficult for us to shoot down these missiles, because even though they are winged, they have more than two speeds of sound and a short range in order to have time to react to this missile," he said.

According to the expert, the Russians bombard cities in the depths of Ukraine

with Kh-555 and Kh-101 cruise missiles during each massive raid.

"These are cruise missiles that can change the direction of movement many times, according to the program, so that air defense cannot track them and bypass the positions of the air defense system," the expert said.

In addition, he added that there are Russian planes that launch X-59 tactical missiles from the territory of Belarus, and now from the Russian Federation.

"They were fired especially at Odesa, Kirovohrad Oblast, Mykolaiv, and Kharkiv. But these are already tactical missiles, both modernized and with a range of 200-230 km. And the Russians do not launch all these launches from our territory. They launch their territory from such a depth that even the S-300 complexes are not able to get them there," Valery Romanenko summarized.

It will be recalled that during the day the Defense Forces of Ukraine

destroyed an enemy Su-25 aircraft, a Ka-52 helicopter

and 2 Orlan-10 type drones.
