A fire broke out at a single-family house in Xindian District, New Taipei City this morning, and New Taipei City firefighters were called to the rescue.

[Reporter Yang Guowen/Taipei Report] A single-family house in Xindian District, New Taipei City was reported to be on fire this morning. The New Taipei City Fire Department immediately mobilized to rescue a 40-year-old woman and a 5-year-old boy. Both were conscious , no trauma, all were sent to the hospital for examination; the preliminary investigation by the police and firefighters found that the fire started from the burning TV cabinet in the living room on the third floor, and the detailed cause of the fire awaits further investigation.

Today is the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, but the New Taipei City Fire Department received a report early in the morning that a single-family house on the 4th floor of Xinpo 1st Street, Xindian District, New Taipei City caught fire, and a lot of black smoke came out from the 3rd floor. 25 fire trucks and 74 firefighters were dispatched to rescue immediately.

After the firefighters entered the house, they rescued a 40-year-old middle-aged woman and a 5-year-old boy. They found that both were conscious and had no external injuries. They were immediately sent to the hospital for examination.

Firefighters preliminarily judged that the fire started from the burning TV cabinet in the living room on the third floor.
