Three people were killed in a shooting at a store in the state of Washington, and the attacker committed suicide, Reuters reported.

Law enforcement officers responded to a report of a shooting at a convenience store in the central Washington city of Yakima and found the bodies of three dead when they arrived, Police Chief Matt Murray said.

Two of the victims were shot inside the store, and the third died outside.

"It appears to be a random situation. There was no apparent conflict between the parties. The man just walked in and started shooting," Murray said.

After opening fire inside the store, the suspect, identified as Jarryd Haddock, 21, crossed the street and fired at a vehicle, forcing the driver into the passenger seat.

The suspect stole the car and fled, writes BTA.

Shooting in the Los Angeles area, multiple victims are reported

After hours of manhunting, a relative of Haddock directed law enforcement to a warehouse behind which Haddock was hiding.

When he saw the police approaching, the young man killed himself with his firearm.

Police denied using violence and said no law enforcement officers were injured.
