The conduct of the elections is not in question.

This was said by the Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission Tsvetozar Tomov in the program "More of the Day" on BNT.

Preparations for the elections are proceeding on schedule.

It is good to raise the issues from now on, he said, noting that perhaps for the first time the Commission is starting the organization of the vote even before there is a scheduled date for it.

The main thing is not to be late with the deadlines, emphasized Tomov.

Regarding the problem with the paper for the ballots that will be printed by the machines, the Deputy Chairman of the CEC pointed out: "We got in touch with the printers already on the first possible working day in January, and we quickly figured out what we could do."

The President spoke with the leadership of the CEC, it became clear when the elections will be held

In response to a question, he clarified that the CEC is in contact with the Council of Ministers in connection with the newly introduced video surveillance during the counting of ballots.

When monitoring thousands of sections, it is possible that a problem will arise somewhere, but I hope this will not become a central topic in the media, noted Tsvetozar Tomov.

Asked if he thought the paper ballot would bring people back to the polls, he said no.

Hopefully this will happen, but there is no way voting technology will increase voter turnout, Tomov said.
