"On December 10, 2022, I participated in the visit program to Zangilan and Gubadli regions organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

I got acquainted with the newly opened Zangilan airport based on the program and visited the first "smart village" built in Azerbaijan.

Lee In-Yong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan, said this in an interview with APA.

He said that despite the fact that only two years have passed since the end of the war with Armenia, the achievements of Azerbaijan in a short period of time, such as the opening of international airports in Fuzuli and Zangilan regions, the construction of the Fuzuli-Shusha road, and the establishment of "smart villages" with large-scale reconstruction projects, are amazing: "From the occupation I felt the determination of the government and people of Azerbaijan to try to return the displaced people as soon as possible through the reconstruction projects of the liberated territories.

The ambassador emphasized that they are well aware that Azerbaijan has chosen the project of reconstruction of territories freed from occupation as a national priority and is rapidly implementing reconstruction projects.

Lee In-Yong noted that many Korean companies are also interested in participating in the reconstruction project in Azerbaijan.

The Korean company "Securo" is exploring ways to participate in the construction of a 100 MW Wind Power Station in Kalbajar and Lachin districts: "The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Korea is interested in participating in the creation of the master plan and feasibility study of the "smart city" in Zangilan.

"Since Korean companies have excellent technology and competitiveness in the fields of renewable energy and smart cities, I hope that there will be many opportunities to participate in reconstruction projects in the liberated regions of Azerbaijan."
