The German military-industrial concern Rheinmetall is ready to transfer 139 Leopard tanks to Ukraine as soon as the German government gives permission for this.

But only fifty will be modern "Leopards 2", and most of them will not be delivered earlier than in a year.



The press secretary of Rheinmetall told the German media group RND that the concern will be ready to hand over 29 "Leopards 2A4" in April-May this year.



It will take almost a year to repair another 22 Leopards of the same modification, and it will be possible to hand them over at the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024.



Rheinmetall could transfer another 88 old "Leopard 1".

Whether they are ready for operation, and if not, when they will be ready, the press secretary did not specify.
