NATO Secretary General believes that the issue of sending "Leopard" tanks to Ukraine will be resolved soon.

APA reports that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said this at a press conference held in Berlin together with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.

The NATO Secretary General said that Europe was facing a full-scale war: "The biggest threat to Europe's security has arisen, and therefore Germany's leadership is more important than ever."

The NATO Secretary General noted that the courage of the Ukrainian military forces inspired the whole world, but Russia's military power should not be underestimated: "Russia has announced mobilization, mobilized an army of 300,000.

The Putin regime buys weapons from authoritarian regimes like Iran and North Korea.

Russia is preparing for new attacks.

The only way to peace is if we make sure that Russia does not win on the battlefield.

Therefore, we should increase and speed up military aid to Ukraine.

We need to help Ukraine with heavy weapons and better systems so that it not only defends itself, but also frees its lands."

NATO Secretary General added that a number of countries have announced a new military aid package to Ukraine.

"The military aid sent by you, Germany, saves people's lives in Ukraine," he added.

Stoltenberg said that now is an important stage of the war, so the allies should provide more military aid to Ukraine, and it should be done quickly:

"I hope that the issue of sending battle tanks will be resolved soon.

"Battle tanks are very important now."
