Since 2014, Crimea has been prepared as a springboard for an attack on Ukraine.

After the annexation of the Ukrainian peninsula, the occupation authorities began to build military infrastructure and conduct conscription.

This was reported by the Crimean human rights group, Media Center Ukraine reports.

"Since 2014, Crimea began to actively prepare to become a springboard for an attack on Ukraine. All these infrastructure projects, as the occupying authorities claimed, were aimed at improving the lives of Crimeans, in fact, were

aimed at simply improving the logistics of the armed forces forces of the Russian Federation.

I mean the construction of the Crimean bridge and the Tauride highway, which stretched from the Crimean bridge to the largest military base, to the city of Sevastopol," the human rights group said.

They added that during all this time, Russia conducted

16 conscription campaigns,

during which 40,000 residents of Crimea were drafted into the Russian Armed Forces.

"All this was accompanied by an active militarization of public life: the population of Crimea was actively preparing for war against their own state. During this time, the Russian Federation

conducted 16 conscription campaigns,

as part of which they let up to 40,000 residents of Crimea pass through the sieve of their armed forces," said the deputy head of the board Volodymyr Chekrygin of the Crimean human rights group.

It will be recalled that earlier it was reported that the Russian Federation was preparing Crimea for defense.

The GUR told about the forces of the occupiers on the peninsula.
