When the girl grew up, she did not want to get married.

She decided to devote her life to serving God, became a deaconess in the church.

During the reign of Emperor Alexander Severus, severe persecution of Christians began.

Then Tatyana was captured and brought to a pagan temple.

There they forced the girl to make an offering to the idols.

She did not agree, so she was tortured for a long time, but the Lord healed all her wounds.

Tatyana prayed, and then all the idols in the temple were destroyed, and the executioners themselves believed in Christ.

When Alexander saw that he could not handle Tatyana, she was executed with a sword.

Later, the same fate awaited her father.

The church holiday of January 25 is the day of memory of Sava of Serbia

The saint was born in 1169 and was the son of a prince.

His father had money, so he built churches and tried to spread the Christian faith, helped the poor and needy, led a pious life.

The father raised his son in the same way.

Therefore, in his youth, Sava did not want to get married, but decided to dedicate himself to God.

When he heard about Mount Athos, he went there.

Later, Sava took monastic vows and convinced his parents to also abandon worldly life and go live in a monastery.

They did so.

Soon Sava's father died.

He appeared before his son in a dream and told that the Lord glorified his servant.

Sava returned to Serbia, where Catholics had already begun to spread their teachings.

He assumed the rank of saint and founded the Serbian Church, finding bishops.

Later, when things went up, he found a successor and went to Jerusalem to bow to the Holy Sepulchre.

Unfortunately, he fell ill on the way back and died.

The relics of the saint turned out to be incorruptible.
