Iran will soon impose sanctions against the European Union (EU) and Great Britain.

APA reports that Nasir Kanani, the official representative of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, informed about this on the Ministry's "Telegram" page.

Kanani said that the actions of the EU and Britain are a sign of their difficulty in correctly understanding the reality of modern Iran and the wrong perception of the country's authorities.

Iran will soon announce a list of new sanctions against human rights violators.

It should be recalled that the EU published a new package of special sanctions against Iran, which also includes 18 individuals and 19 organizations.

The EU believes that they participated in the suppression of protests in Iran.

Along with the EU, Great Britain also announced sanctions against Iranian officials.
