Vadym Skibitskyi, the deputy head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, told whether there is currently a threat of a tactical nuclear attack by the Russian Federation.

He said this in an interview with Ukrinform.

So, according to him,

the carriers of nuclear weapons are currently in Crimea occupied by Russia

.

"First of all, today the threat and in general the rhetoric of using nuclear weapons is not as relevant as it was at the beginning of autumn. This was also facilitated by the measures of the international community regarding nuclear security, including the reaction of the United States of America, China, and European countries. Second, we "we constantly monitored and continue to monitor everything related to nuclear weapons, especially before the start of a large-scale invasion. There are carriers of nuclear weapons in Crimea as well, the Russians constantly worked out the issue of delivering nuclear warheads, preparing weapons for possible combat use," Skibitskyi said.

As for the

technical condition

, this is a tactical nuclear weapon, which was manufactured even under the Soviet Union, added the deputy chief of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense.

"In the Russian Federation, the operational period was extended, but the warhead was not even tested on the Iskanders and Kalibrs. Nevertheless, everyone understands that the Putin regime has nuclear weapons and Moscow uses it as one of the elements of pressure and intimidation. Tactical nuclear weapons do not solve the main strategic task, it is necessary to talk about it," Skibitsky added.

Nuclear threat from the Russian Federation

We will remind that Russian propaganda constantly resorts to nuclear threats against Ukraine and other countries of Europe and NATO, in particular Poland.

Moreover, nuclear rhetoric is also heard in the Kremlin from Putin's sops.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin himself has repeatedly stated the risks of using a nuclear arsenal.

Moreover, the head of Bellingcat, Hristo Grozev, believes that the Kremlin dictator can use nuclear weapons if he has no other way out.

In addition, according to Grozev, the Russian leader is seriously considering the possibility of launching a nuclear strike on Poland.

At the same time, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg believes that the risk of Russia using nuclear weapons is low.
