Toivo Klaar, the special representative of the European Union (EU) on the South Caucasus and Georgian crisis, who is on a visit to Yerevan, met with the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan.

APA reports with reference to "Sputnik Armenia" that the parties discussed the situation in the region.

At the meeting, the deployment of the new EU mission on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border was also discussed and it was emphasized that this will contribute to security and stability in the South Caucasus.

Toivo Klaar and Nikol Pashinyan also exchanged views on the situation on the road to Lachin.
