The next few weeks will be decisive for Ukraine.

Defenders of Ukraine need all the necessary military equipment to resist Russian aggression.

The head of the European Council, Charles Michel, said, writes El Mundo.

According to him, Ukraine should receive tanks from the West as soon as possible.

Charles Michel emphasized that for Europe, Ukraine's defeat in the war could become "an extremely dangerous precedent for the future."

Instead, as he said, the future of Ukraine is very shaky.

"What happens in 2023, and much else depends on the next few weeks, is what will determine our future. We have to be with Ukraine and give them all the support they need. We cannot let them down," Charles Michel said.

The head of the European Council emphasized that "there cannot be a free and safe Europe without a free and safe Ukraine."

Already in another interview for the Polish publication Rzeczpospolitej following the results of his visit to Kyiv, Charles Michel said that "a massive attack awaits Ukraine."

"The Ukrainian authorities have a very clear vision of what will happen now. That is why bold decisions regarding the supply of military equipment are so important," said the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, in response to a question about what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expects from the EU.

What is known about a possible new offensive of the Russian Federation?

In an interview in December 2022, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhnyi warned about the intention of the Russians

to launch a new major offensive

to Ukraine in January-February or spring.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov also warned about the risk of a new

offensive by the Russians.

In the spring, according to him, the Russian Federation may attack from the areas that the Russians have already occupied in the south and east of Ukraine.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, in an interview published on January 23, stated that

a new offensive by the Russian Federation is possible in any direction.

On the same day, January 23, The New York Times published an article stating that Ukraine and Russia are approaching an even more

brutal and bloody stage of the war.

The coordinator of the "Information Resistance" Kostyantyn Mashovets said that the

occupiers during the winter-spring may try to turn the tide of the war

 and regain the strategic initiative.

There is a risk that the enemy will strike two converging strikes: one in the direction of Zaporizhzhia - the Dnipro, the other in the opposite direction, but through the Kharkiv region, Poltava and Kremenchuk.

Andriy Yusov, the spokesman of the State Administration of Defense of the Ministry of Defense, assured that despite the complexity of the tasks, the

Ukrainians are liberating their own territories at a great cost.

The main official statements and opinions of experts regarding the terms and scenarios of a possible Russian offensive can be
