Due to the full dress rehearsal of the Republic Day, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for the people, according to which many roads in Delhi will remain closed today and many routes have been diverted.

  • The Delhi Police has issued an advisory related to the arrangements and restrictions imposed to keep the traffic system smooth due to the full dress rehearsal of the Republic Day Parade on Monday.

  • According to the traffic police, the rehearsal of the parade will start from Vijay Chowk at 10.30 am and will conclude at the Red Fort via Kartavya Path, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Statue Roundabout, C-Hexagon, Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and Netaji Subhash Marg. .

  • According to the advisory, for the smooth rehearsal of the parade, the movement of vehicles will be banned from Vijay Chowk to India Gate from 6 pm on Sunday till the parade is over on Monday.

  • Rafi Marg, Janpath and Mansingh Road will not be allowed to go towards the duty path from 11 pm on Sunday night till the parade is over in the morning.

    India Gate C-Hexagon will also remain closed from 9.15 am on Monday morning till the parade reaches Tilak Marg.

  • Tilak Marg, Bahadurshah Zafar Marg and Subhash Marg will be closed for traffic from 10.30 am on Monday.

    The movement of vehicles on these routes from both the sides will depend on the parade moving ahead from there.

  • The traffic police has advised commuters to avoid going on the parade routes from 9.30 am to 1 pm on Monday.

    Metro service will be available at all stations during the full rehearsal of the parade, but the movement of passengers will be prohibited from 5 am to 12 noon at Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan metro stations.

  • The advisory said that travel from North Delhi to New Delhi Railway Station or Old Delhi Railway Station will not be prohibited, but commuters have been advised to leave with sufficient time to avoid possible delays.

  • Public transport buses also serve Park Street/Udyan Marg, Aram Bagh Road (Pahar Ganj), around Kamla Market, Delhi Secretariat (Indira Gandhi Stadium), Pragati Maidan (Bharaun Road), Hanuman Mandir (Yamuna Bazar), Mori Gate , will stop near ISBT Kashmiri Gate, ISBT Sarai Kale Khan and Tis Hazari Court.

  • It was said in the consultation that the buses coming from Ghaziabad to Shivaji Stadium will come via National Highway-24 and will be stopped at Bhairo Marg.

  • Those coming from National Highway 24 will take a right turn to Road No. 56 and their journey will end at ISBT Anand Vihar.

    Buses coming from Ghaziabad will be diverted from Mohan Nagar to Bhopura Chungi and sent to Wazirabad Bridge.
