Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Azerbaijan Cahit Bagchi and representatives of the embassy visited the new building of the West Azerbaijan Community.

APA reports that the ambassador held a meeting with Chairman of the Board of Directors Aziz Alakbarli and members and received information about the charter, structure and activity of the Community.

The leaders of the main bodies of the Community - Chairman of the Management Board Aziz Alakbarli, Deputy Chairman Ramil Hasan, Chairman of the Supervisory Board Academician Misir Mardanov, Chairman of the Council of Elders Academician Ahliman Amiraslanov, Chairman of the Women's Council Malahat Ibrahimgizi and Chairman of the Youth Council Ramin Mammadov took part in the meeting.

Aziz Alakbarli, Chairman of the Management Board of the West Azerbaijan Community, told the Turkish diplomat that the deportation of Azerbaijanis from their ancestral land, the geographical area now called Armenia, four times during the last century, in 1905-1906, 1918-1920, 1948-1953 and 1988-1991, is informed about war crimes and crimes against humanity committed against Azerbaijanis during the events.

During the meeting, it was brought to the ambassador's attention that the Armenian government refuses to take measures to restore the rights of expelled Azerbaijanis and continues to deprive them of the right to live in their homeland.

It was noted that the support of the international community is important for ensuring the recognized rights of expelled Azerbaijanis within the framework of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international conventions.

Cahit Bağçı said that he is always with the rightful struggle of brotherly Azerbaijan, whose relations with the Shusha Declaration were brought to the level of alliance with Turkey, and will continue to be so.

Later, the ambassador got acquainted with the administrative building of the Community.
