Inspections of the damage caused by the hurricane-force winds in Vratsa last week continue.

So far, citizens have submitted 22 applications to the Information Center, which will subsequently be sent for consideration by the Interdepartmental Commission to the Council of Ministers, which makes decisions on compensation for the victims, the municipality of Vratsa told BTA.

According to the commission's requirements, the owners of real estate that are not insured and have serious damage will have the right to compensation. 

The teams from the municipality of Vratsa are also inspecting the damage to the public infrastructure.

According to preliminary information, the hurricane wind caused damage to nearly 70% of the buildings of nurseries and kindergartens, schools and their adjacent yards, however, the educational process was not hindered.

Meanwhile, during the weekends, the teams of "Trolleybus Transport" restored the contact network damaged by the wind along "Okolchitsa" street.

The movement of public transport and cars is now unhindered.

A wind with a gust speed of up to 140 km/h uprooted trees, carried away roofs of residential and public buildings, cut off the electricity supply to villages and districts of the regional center, and this became the reason for declaring a partial state of emergency in the municipality of Vratsa.
