Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz on Sunday, January 22, said that his country is deciding on the transfer of tanks to Ukraine.

However, there is a condition - it must take place in coordination with the allies, in particular the USA.

Scholz said that the transfer of tanks to Ukraine, as well as other weapons, will take place only in close coordination with allies, in particular the United States. 

"This is how it will continue to happen," Scholz said, answering the question of whether Germany would hand over tanks to Ukraine. 

Transfer of German tanks to Ukraine: what is known 

During the meeting in the Ramstein format, the allies did not reach an agreement on the supply of German-made Leopard tanks to Ukraine.

The Minister of Defense of the German Federal Republic of Germany, Boris Pistorius, immediately began to reassure - "the impression that there is a coalition where only Germany stands in the way is misleading."

Wallace said that one of the countries that has German Leopard 2 tanks has officially asked Germany for permission to transfer this equipment to Ukraine

Also, the United States of America is disappointed by the indecision of the German leadership regarding the supply of Leopard-2 tanks to Ukraine to counter the Russian aggressors.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki criticized Germany for delaying the delivery of Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.
