Morocco transferred T-72B tanks to Ukraine, which were undergoing modernization in the Czech Republic.

This is written by the Algerian publication Mena Defense.

It is noted that about twenty tanks were sent to the battlefield a week ago.

They could be seen during the visit of the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Petr Fiala, to the workshops of the Excalibur Army company in Sternberg, which was modernizing.

The total number of tanks transferred is unknown.

In total, the Moroccan army had 148 T-72 units, 136 T-72B tanks and 12 T-72BK tanks, purchased in two batches from Belarus in 1999 and 2000.

The decision to provide tanks from the military warehouses of Morocco to the Ukrainian side was made in April of last year during the Ramstein summit.

At this summit, Tunisia and Morocco were the only countries representing North Africa.

It was previously reported that on January 9, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala personally signed one of the T-72 tanks that this country is handing over to Ukraine.

We will remind that only London dared to provide us tanks of Western production.

Ukraine will receive Challenger 2 tanks from Britain.
