Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki criticized

Germany

for delaying the delivery of Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. He emphasized that the war is here and now and Ukraine urgently needs the equipment.

This was stated by the Polish Prime Minister in a conversation with PAP.

"Germany's position is unacceptable. Almost a year has passed since the start of the war (a full-scale war. - Ed.). Innocent people are dying every day. Russian bombs are wreaking havoc in Ukrainian cities. They are attacking (Russian occupation forces. - Ed.) civilian objects, women and children are being killed. Evidence of war crimes committed by the Russian army can be seen on TV and YouTube. What else does Germany need to open its eyes and start acting up to the potential of the German state? Besides, they don't need to activate 100% of their resources. 30% is enough. Even 10% would be progress. However, first of all, Berlin should not weaken or sabotage the actions of other countries," said Moravetskyi.

The Polish Prime Minister noted that Germany is a powerful country in terms of economy and military power.

But despite this, he is convinced that Ukraine and Europe will win this war - with or without Germany.

"I try to weigh my words, but I will say it directly.

Ukraine and Europe will win this war - with or without Germany.

However, it is up to Germany whether they want to join the mission to end Russian barbarism or passively watch it, dooming themselves to to end up on the wrong side of history," Moravetsky noted.

When asked what the reasons for Berlin's restraint were, Moravetskyi answered:

"Germany fell into a trap that it set for itself.

They have been pursuing a policy of rapprochement with Russia for years. They hoped to placate the Russian bear with generous contracts. This policy has failed, and the Germans still find it difficult to admit their wrongness." .

The Prime Minister of Poland also emphasized that Ukraine urgently needs tanks, but instead "time is wasted on discussions that do not lead to anything good."

"And just at the moment when it seems that the situation with heavy weapons for Ukraine is improving somewhat, Germany intervenes and expresses fears. The enemy is in the east, and we waste time on discussions that do not lead to anything good... The war is here and now. The

Ukrainian defenders of Europe urgently need tanks.

The Germans want to keep them in stock until Russia defeats Ukraine and knocks on Berlin's door?" Moravetsky concluded.

We will remind, on January 20, a meeting of the contact group on defense support of Ukraine was held at the American base in Ramstein.

However, it never brought a decision to transfer Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.
