The results of the Ramstein-style meeting on January 20 should not be considered a failure for Ukraine due to the unresolved issue with German Leopard tanks.

This was told by political scientist Taras Zavhorodniy, "24 Kanal" reports.

"The list is solid enough. Especially when compared with the supply six months ago," the expert assessed.

Thus, he said that within the framework of the new package of military aid from the USA, Ukraine will receive

 with a range of 150 km.

This will allow Ukrainian troops to confidently control the exit from the occupied Crimea, through which the Russians supply equipment and ammunition to their units in the south.   

The political scientist also drew attention to the fact that Ukraine was promised

(which will hand over Challenger 2 tanks - ed.), pulling out the trump card - the refusal of Olaf Scholz, who said that they did not want to provide tanks to Ukraine, so as not to involve NATO countries in the war with Russia," Zavhorodny noted.

He noted that this creates additional

 in the matter of tanks.

The political scientist also reminded that Germany does not require the Leopard tanks themselves, but permission for other countries to supply them to Ukraine.

After all, there are about two thousand of these German-made tanks in Europe, which are in service with the armies of NATO countries.

We will remind that the new package of military aid for Ukraine, based on the results of the eighth meeting in Ramstein, included helicopters, British tanks, air defense equipment and missiles for these systems, armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles, SUVs, howitzers, self-propelled artillery installations, shells.

Although the participants of the meeting did not reach an agreement on the transfer of German-made Leopard tanks to Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will still receive this armored vehicle.

Ukrainian intelligence services are convinced of this.

They explained that the public submission of this decision is still under discussion.

It should be noted that the deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Sybiga said that this "Ramstein" was armored, but the next one will be aviation.
