The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova believes that Ukraine's victory in the war will contribute to the withdrawal of Russian troops from self-proclaimed Transnistria.

This opinion was expressed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, Nika Popescu, on Vocea Basarabia.

"We all expect and want Ukraine to win this war, to liberate its own territory, so that we can continue the work on the peaceful reintegration of the country and the work on the withdrawal of Russian troops,

illegally placed on our territory, peacefully - this is what we all want

, "said the minister.

Popescu is sure that Ukraine's victory will help to

settle the Transnistrian conflict peacefully.

"This war changed the context for everyone, for all the states of Europe, for dozens of states around the world, for food security in dozens of states in the Middle East and Africa, it is obvious that this war changed the parameters of the functioning of the Republic of Moldova in absolutely all spheres, including

Transnistria settlement,

but, as I said, we are all waiting for the victory of Ukraine, which will allow us to continue

our work on the peaceful settlement of the Transnistrian conflict

in this new context ," added the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova.

We will remind you that earlier, a member of the Moldovan parliament from the pro-government Action and Solidarity party, to which President Maya Sandu belongs, proposed to solve the problem of Transnistria with the participation of Ukraine and NATO.
