Swedish Defense Minister Paul Jonson confirmed the postponement of his planned visit to Turkey on January 27.

APA reports that the Swedish Minister of Defense said this on his Twitter account.

"Yesterday, I met with my Turkish colleague Hulusi Akar at the US military base in Ramstein, Germany. We decided to postpone the planned meeting in Ankara until later.

"Our relations with Turkey are very important for Sweden, and we look forward to continuing the dialogue on common security and defense issues," the Minister of Defense noted.
