Russian propaganda channel RT France has announced its closure in France after its accounts were blocked under the EU's ninth package of sanctions against Russia.

The TV channel reported this on the Internet.

"After five years of persistence, the ruling authorities have achieved their goal: the closure of RT France," the media's press release stated.

The authors of the report added that RT France cannot continue its work due to the freezing of bank accounts.

"Under the guise of the 9th package of sanctions against Russia - which is not directed against our channel, but against our shareholder and parent company - the General Directorate of the Treasury decided to freeze the bank accounts of RT France, which

," the statement reads.

It will be recalled that only on January 19 it became known that in France all funds of the propaganda TV channel RT France were blocked within the scope of the ninth package of EU sanctions against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine.

It should be noted that Russian channels that are under the influence of the Kremlin and "spread Russian disinformation and propaganda" came under the latest EU sanctions.

We are talking about "NTV", "Pervy Kanal", "Russia 1" and "REN TV".

Let's add that the Berlin prosecutor's office has started an investigation into the operation of the "Russian House of Science and Culture" in the city.

An inspection will be conducted for violations of the law on foreign economic activity.

It is about European sanctions against the Russian Federation.
