The New Year according to the Eastern calendar does not have a fixed date, the holiday is celebrated annually on different dates between January 21 and February 21.
In 2023, the Chinese New Year will be celebrated on January 21.
Chinese New Year: the period of the Black Water Rabbit
Chinese New Year 2023 will be called the period of the Black Water Rabbit.
Year of the Rabbit:
1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, 2023.
Lucky colors: red, pink, purple, blue.
Lucky numbers: 3, 4, 6.

Chinese New Year: rabbit or cat
In the Eastern calendar, the fourth year of the cycle is sometimes called the period of both the rabbit and the cat.
According to the legend about the origin of the eastern horoscope, the Buddha, who arranged a competition between twelve animals, was fascinated by the match between the Bull and the Tiger.
The Buddha did not consider well who was next.
And so there was a different reading: either the cat or the rabbit became the fourth in the cycle.

wash your hair or climb into the house;
borrow money or apply for a loan;
hear a child's cry;
use scissors and other sharp objects.
Chinese New Year: what to do
Get rid of faulty household appliances, clothes with holes, chipped dishes, junk and old ones.
Give good things that you haven't used for a long time to the poor or take to church.
Do a general cleaning in the house.
Check the food in the fridge and kitchen.
If you have a rabbit figurine, place it in a prominent place to attract good luck.
