Western partners of Ukraine understand that Russia wants to prolong the war, and this is not beneficial to anyone.

Therefore, they began to transfer more weapons to the Armed Forces in order to liberate all the territories of the state as soon as possible.

Military and political commentator Oleksandr Kovalenko told about this in an interview with TSN.ua.

"Our international partners have understood that this war will not end in the near future due to any negotiations or recognition by Russia that it has lost. Everyone understands that

Russia has already lost

and its main task today is to prolong the conflict. And prolonging the conflict is not beneficial to anyone. But on the other hand, our international partners understand that Ukraine will not enter into any negotiations with Russia until all territories are liberated. Therefore, there

is only one way out - to help Ukraine

liberate its territories as soon as possible. This is exactly what will happen in the near future." - explained the observer.

"In the near future, international partners will significantly increase their support for us to liberate as many of our territories as possible and all our territories as soon as possible.

This is beneficial for everyone

. This support - we see an expanded range as the supply of weapons increases," Kovalenko added.

At the same time, he noted that in the event that Russia prepares a new offensive, it will turn out to be a fiasco for it, if the Armed Forces receive the necessary weapons.

"Russia can really prepare for offensive actions. It can start some kind of large-scale mobilization. It can prolong this conflict. But if (in Ukraine - ed.) there will be appropriate weapons in the appropriate amount, then

any offensive by Russia will turn out to be a fiasco for it

: a counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and much larger liberations of our territories," the expert said.

It should be noted that recently the West began to provide Ukraine with weapons and military equipment more actively.

However, one of the main needs of the Armed Forces on the agenda is modern battle tanks.

Great Britain will hand over such tanks.

In addition to it, a number of other countries agree to transfer their Leopard 2 tanks, but since they are German-made, approval from Germany is necessary.

It is currently missing: in particular, the participants of the regular meeting in Ramstein on January 20 could not agree on this.

However, the day before, representatives of Great Britain, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Slovakia and the Czech Republic signed the "Tallinn Declaration", in which they guaranteed maximum strategic military support.

In addition, in the opinion of military expert Oleg Zhdanov, Ukraine will receive from its Western partners the necessary amount of military equipment and weapons for entering the borders on February 23.
