The President's Office reacted to the statement of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the USA, General Mark Milley, that it will be difficult for Ukraine to expel the occupiers of 2023, and there is a possibility

that the war will not end this year

.

Zelensky was assured that hostilities can be ended this year, but weapons are needed for this.

Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the OP, said this, Channel 24 writes.

"We can talk about any developments, but we are aware that this war can be ended with the defeat of Russia. This is very important. In order to do this, we need a certain amount of tools, in particular weapons," said a representative of the President's Office.

He emphasized that it is about providing Ukraine with

armored vehicles and

long-range missiles to destroy enemy bases.

"He (

Millie - ed

.) has the right to this position, but specific tools are needed," commented Podolyak.

We will remind, following the results of "Ramstein", the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the USA, General Mark Milley, expressed the opinion that it will be difficult for Ukraine to "drive out Russian troops from all occupied territories of Ukraine" in 2023.

However, he does not exclude that it is possible.
