Israeli military analyst Yigal Levin believes that the information about a new large-scale offensive by Russia is a throw-in by the Kremlin, nothing more.

He expressed this opinion on the air of the "Espresso" TV channel.

He urged to trust official information from the General Staff.

There they report that the Russian offensive has already begun.

It is about the Bakhmutsky and Zaporizhzhia directions.

"According to official information, the Russians have already launched an offensive. In addition to the Bakhmut direction, hostilities have also intensified in the Zaporizhzhia region.

It is still fruitless and we hope it will remain so

," Levin explained.

A military analyst is sure that the Russian army does not have the resources for a new offensive against Ukraine.

"If we are talking about the large-scale offensive actions of the Russian Federation, which have been so often reported in the media in recent weeks, then this is nothing more

than the Kremlin's throw-ins. In these news, they are already talking about the capture of Lviv and the siege of Odesa.

This will not be all. From 300 thousand Russians, whom they mobilized, they were able to collect only 250 thousand. This number will only be enough to replenish the losses in the temporarily occupied territories. They need to at least somehow hold these territories and that's all.

There is no question of a major offensive

, "he emphasized Levin.

The threat of a new Russian attack on Ukraine

Military and political observer Oleksandr Kovalenko believes that Luhansk region, Zaporizhia region and the left-bank Kherson region are promising for a counteroffensive of Ukrainian defenders today.

He also added that in Donetsk region, most likely, active defense will continue for quite a long time.

Meanwhile, the Pentagon sees no signs of preparations for a new Russian offensive.

US Joint Chiefs of Staff adviser Dave Butler said that, according to his information, Russia

is not forming groups to attack.

Earlier, the Minister of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov stated that in the spring the Russian military could advance from the areas they had already occupied in the south and east of Ukraine.
