The Russians do not have the human and material resources for an effective offensive in the Zaporizhzhia region, and they also fear a counteroffensive of the Armed Forces in this area.

This was reported in the armed forces of Canada with reference to the country's intelligence data.

"Russian-appointed 'officials' in Ukraine's partially occupied Zaporizhzhia region claim that Russian forces are likely to

be ready to launch a spring offensive

to seize the part of the region that remains under Ukrainian control," the statement said.

According to Canadian intelligence, the Russian occupiers are poorly equipped and inadequately trained.

Such troops

will not be able to carry out a successful offensive

along the Zaporozhye front during the next few months.

It is also noted that Russia is spending a lot of resources on attempts to seize additional territories in Donbas.

The Ukrainian military inflicted very heavy losses on the enemy there, and at the same time the enemy has minor territorial gains.

According to intelligence data, the Russians have been

building static defensive structures

for several months in the temporarily captured areas of the Zaporizhzhia region .

This testifies to the enemy's significant concern about the upcoming counteroffensive of the Armed Forces to de-occupy the Zaporizhzhia region.

We will remind, the day before the Ukrainian people's deputy, SBU colonel Roman Kostenko said that the Zaporizhzhia direction is key both for the Armed Forces and for the occupiers, so the enemy is accumulating forces there.

At the same time, military expert Oleksandr Musienko believes that the Zaporozhye direction is auxiliary to the occupiers in order to partially distract Ukrainian forces.

And the main direction is the eastern one, where the battles are taking place, that is, the Bakhmut, Soledar district.

Another military expert, Pavlo Narozhny, predicts the offensive of Ukrainian troops from the Zaporizhzhia region to Melitopol, and then to Berdyansk.

This city will become a base for further attacks on the occupiers in Crimea.
