[Instant News/Comprehensive Report] As the impact of the Wuhan Pneumonia (New Coronavirus Disease, COVID-19) epidemic becomes more stable and countries continue to loosen epidemic prevention measures, South Korea announced today that it will cancel most of the indoor mask orders starting from the 30th of this month .

According to Yonhap News Agency, South Korean Prime Minister Han Deok-soo announced on Friday that South Korea plans to lift the ban on most indoor masks from January 30, which is the only remaining epidemic prevention measure.

However, masks will continue to be required in hospitals, pharmacies and public transport.

The report pointed out that the South Korean government previously stated that if at least two of the four standards are met, the indoor mask order will be lifted in stages.

The four criteria are the continuous reduction in the number of newly confirmed cases, the continuous decline in the number of critically ill patients and deaths, strong medical response capabilities, and high vaccination rates for high-risk groups.
