Party workers of Azad Samaj Party have lodged a complaint with the police regarding the incident.

In Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar district, Azad Samaj Party (ASP) president Chandrashekhar Azad and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) Khatauli MLA Madan Bhaiya's convoy vehicles were vandalized and stones pelted.

Chandrashekhar Azad and RLD MLA had reached Bhupkhedi village of Ratanpuri police station area on Friday to unveil the statue of Constitution maker Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.

RLD and ASP workers protested regarding the incident.

Chandrashekhar Azad, in a conversation with journalists, alleged that some 'anti-social elements' are behind this incident.

He demanded immediate action against those responsible for the incident.

Meanwhile, party workers of Azad Samaj Party have lodged a complaint with the police regarding the incident.

Chandrashekhar Azad also unveiled a new statue of Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar, where some chaotic elements had damaged the statue in the past.

During this, RLD MLA Madan Bhaiya was also present in the program.

Police Officer (CO) Vinay Gautam told 'PTI-Bhasha' that the miscreants broke the glasses of three-four cars parked near the program.

The CO said, 'The cars of Chandrashekhar and RLD MLA Madan Bhaiya were not damaged in the incident.

The police is going to register an FIR in the matter.

He told that in the meantime security has been tightened in Bhupkhedi village.

Additional police force has been deployed to ensure law and order.

It is worth mentioning that last year Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Vikram Saini from Khatauli area was sentenced by the court in a case.

Due to this his membership was cancelled.

In the subsequent by-election, RLD candidate Madan Bhaiya defeated Saini's wife and BJP candidate Rajkumari Devi.

Chandrashekhar Azad supported RLD's Madan Bhaiya in the by-election.

According to the news received from Meerut, RLD condemned the attack on Madan Bhaiya and Azad's convoy.

RLD has demanded action from the government.

Rashtriya Lok Dal's subsidiary organization 'Social Justice Manch', Uttar Pradesh President Sangeeta Dohre said in her statement issued in Meerut on Friday evening, 'The attack on the convoy of Khatauli MLA Madan Bhaiya and National President of Azad Samaj Party Chandrashekhar Azad is a matter of national concern. Lok Dal condemns in the strongest terms.

Demands from the Uttar Pradesh government that the anti-social elements who attacked should be arrested while taking immediate action.
