Oleg Skrypka

, the leader of the "Vopli Vidoplyasova" band,

admitted that he does not regret his numerous performances and participation in projects in Russia until 2014.

According to the musician, earning money there was the right decision, because he spent all the money on the development of Ukrainian music.

"It was absolutely right. I wasn't the only one who did that. I know several other good people who invested in Ukrainian culture like that," the "24 Channel" singer said.

After 2014, Skrypka and his band, like many Ukrainian artists, completely stopped concert activities in Russia and focused on performances in Ukraine.

However, the artist was very indignant that after the annexation of Crimea and the start of the war in Donbas, Ukrainians still continued to listen to Russian artists.

"When the war started, back in 2014, it was strange for me to hear Russian music in Ukrainian clubs. Even in Lviv, Russian songs were still played at discotheques. And in Odesa until 2014, half of the music was world music, and the other half was in Russian. was at all. After 2014, there was only Russian music in Odessa. There was nothing foreign," Skrypka said.

We will remind you that recently Oleg Skrypka gave a powerful

speech

at the Kyiv railway station.
