The case, dismissed last year by Meadow Brooks, alleges that Hillary Clinton, who lost the 2016 election to Trump, and others made false claims that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia.

On this basis, the case required Hillary to pay $70 million in damages.

But Brooks wrote in a 45-page written court order that the lawsuit "should never have been brought."

"The statements in the case are insufficient to pursue a legal claim," the order said, "and it was clear from the outset that no reasonable attorney would bring this case. The causes of action listed in the amended complaint are politically motivated. , none of which brought legal claims within the jurisdiction of the trial.”

Trump's lawyer, Alina Habba, was also fined in the order.

Trump and Harbah are jointly and severally liable and must pay a total fine of $937,989.39 to reimburse the defendants for their legal fees.
