It is likely that the USA could programmatically limit the use of HIMARS on the territory of the Russian Federation.

This was announced by military expert Oleg Zhdanov on his YouTube channel on January 20.

"It may be that it is included in the software that the coordinates of the target on the territory of the Russian Federation will not be perceived by the system. Here, I will say this: 50x50. Perhaps this is true, and they really made such a restriction. Perhaps this is an informational throw-in for in order not to inflame the situation between the Russian Federation and the United States. Because, according to the military doctrine of the Russian Federation, it has the right to respond to any strike on the territory of Russia with any means available to it," he said.

Zhdanov added that we consider the legal territory of Russia to be what was within the borders of 1991, that is, Crimea is our territory.

"And, by the way, the Americans even promised us help in liberating Crimea, inflicting a fiery defeat on Russian troops on the territory of Ukrainian Crimea," he clarified.

"But the territory of the Russian Federation is already a sovereign territory. And in order not to give an excuse for the application of Russia's military doctrine, that is, if an attack is made on the territory of the Russian Federation, then Russia has the right to respond with any means available to it, that is, this includes including the nuclear arsenal of the Russian Federation. So, it is quite possible (that the US could programmatically limit the use of HIMARS on the territory of the Russian Federation - ed.)... That is, here - 50x50 - it is possible to throw in, or it may be true, "said a military expert .

It will be recalled that the USA announced that it will send hundreds of armored vehicles to Ukraine for use in combat operations.
