A giant cane frog weighing 2.7 kg, which is considered the largest in the world, was found in Queensland, Australia.

The amphibian has already been nicknamed "Toadzilla" - that is, "Zhabzilla".

This is reported by BBC News.

The huge frog was spotted by Conway National Park ranger Kylie Gray while on patrol.

The woman simply could not believe her eyes.

"I've never seen anything this big. [It looked]

almost like a soccer ball with legs

. We named her 'Toadzilla,'" Gray said.

Her team quickly captured the frog, which may have been a female, and returned to base to weigh the amphibian.

Park officials knew the frog would be difficult, but were surprised to find it could set a new world record.

Note that the current Guinness record in 1991 was set by a frog weighing 2.65 kg.

This is a domestic frog from Sweden, nicknamed Prinsen.

According to Gray, this gigantic specimen probably

fed on insects, reptiles and small mammals.

"A cane toad of this size

will eat everything that fits in its mouth

," the park ranger said.

The employee is not sure how old the found amphibian is, because this species can live up to 15 years in the wild.

The giant toad has been euthanized, which is standard practice for pests in Australia, and will be donated to the Queensland Museum.

We will remind you that in Kyiv, in the middle of winter, a bat flew into the window of a local resident.

The zoo said that this is not an isolated case, because due to the abnormal heat, some bats wake up early and look for food and water.
