Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 23.1 degrees Celsius on Friday, which was three notches above normal.

The national capital recorded a minimum temperature of 10.6 degrees Celsius on Friday morning, three notches above normal.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) gave this information.

He told that the maximum temperature recorded in Delhi on Friday was 23.1 degrees which was three degrees more than normal.

According to IMD, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in the city next week.

The department said that on January 23 and 24, strong surface winds can blow over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and western Uttar Pradesh.

The IMD has forecast for Delhi, Haryana and Chandigarh that "light rain at isolated places very likely on January 23 and light to moderate rainfall over a wide area between January 24 and 27".

The Meteorological Office said that the sky will be generally clear on Saturday and the minimum and maximum temperature can be around 10 degrees and 23 degrees respectively.

He told that North India will get relief from the cold wave in the next five days.

IMD said, "Another active western disturbance is expected to affect the western Himalayan region from the night of January 20 to January 26 and its effect will be seen over the northwestern plains from December 23 to 25."

According to the Meteorological Department, due to its effect, there may be light to moderate rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand between January 20 and 22.

The effect of western disturbance will increase between 23 and 26 January.
