Devendra Fadnavis tweeted a picture of a ride in the metro with PM Modi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new metro service in Mumbai yesterday and took a ride between two stations in the city along with Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Tweeting a picture of his ride between Gundavali and Mogra stations, Fadnavis asked Twitter users to guess what the three leaders were talking about when he shared the photo.

This tweet of Devendra Fadnavis went viral on social media.

PM spoke to passengers as well

During the ride in the metro, the PM also interacted with a group of young commuters, metro rail employees and women.

Gundavali and Mogra stations are part of Phase 2 of Metro Line 7, which was inaugurated by the Prime Minister yesterday.

The foundation stone of these rail lines was also laid by PM Modi in 2015 and they have been built at a cost of Rs 12,600 crore.

Gift of schemes worth Rs 38,000 crore

Metro Line 2A connects suburban Dahisar East to DN Nagar (Yellow Line), while Line 7 connects Andheri East to Dahisar East.

PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various projects worth over Rs 38,000 crore during his visit to Mumbai yesterday.
